Summer Program Open to Incoming Third Graders

Fun in Summer School

Summer STAR Program

The Kettering City School District is pleased to offer a new Summer STAR Program for incoming third grade students. STAR is designed to give students academic readiness in language arts and math, while infusing the curriculum with fun extracurricular activities and hands-on projects.

The Summer STAR Program will begin on Monday, July 10, and run through Thursday, August 3.

This is a four-day-a-week program that will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at two different sites in the district:  John F. Kennedy and Oakview elementary schools. All students will receive breakfast from 8:30-8:55 a.m., as well as lunch, during the summer school program.

Kettering City Schools will provide bus transportation to and from STAR, and there is no charge for the STAR Program. Please contact your child’s teacher or Sharon Blizzard, summer school coordinator, at sharon.blizzard@ketteringschools.org with any questions and to register your child.

Space is limited, so register today!
