Lori Simms Parks has been a resident of Kettering since 1991 and a member of the Kettering Board of Education since 2004.

She is the proud parent of six children, three of whom are Kettering Fairmont High School graduates.

Lori currently serves as the Board of Education representative on Partners for Healthy Youth, and serves on the district's Wellness and Technology committees. 

She is a current board member of the Life Enrichment Center and serves as a College Promise Mentor for a student at DECA.

Lori has also been involved with Junior League of Dayton, the Women's Club for the Home Builder's Association of Dayton, the 10th Anniversary Committee of the Dayton Peace Accords and the first-ever Dayton Literary Peace Prize, awarded in 2006.

She is a graduate of the University of Dayton, having earned her BA in psychology in 2013.

Lori, who married Bob Parks in August 2013, enjoys music, travel, cooking and sport-fishing.
