High School Equivalency
Classes are free. All books and materials are provided. Tutors are available to work with students on a one-to-one basis as long as the student maintains regular attendance. The Kettering Aspire Program has been highly effective in helping students reach their goal of obtaining their GED. Come see the Wall of Fame located in our classroom, room 204 in the D.L. Barnes building. Be the next person to add your name to the wall!
Orientation for free GED classes:
Please call our office (499-1452) to register for the new student orientation. Students must complete the orientation process in order to begin classes with us. Our orientation and class schedules are listed below. Make sure you show up on time for the appropriate orientation.
D.L. Barnes Building, 3750 Far Hills Ave. Kettering, OH 45429
Next Orientation Dates
Morning Orientation - Part 1 May 17th at 9am
Part 2 May 18th at 9am
Evening Orientation - Part 1 May 15th at 6pm
Part 2 May 17th at 6pm
**All students must complete both parts of orientation to complete**
During orientation, students take the TABE assessment to figure out their strongest and weakest areas in math, reading, and language (grammar). All students complete orientation at our Kettering site, and they will be given information on the available classes to help determine the one that best fits their schedule (AM or PM). If a scheduling conflict comes up after completing orientation or beginning classes, students can switch to the class that fits their needs, they just need to inform their instructor or call our office and inform the coordinator of their situation. This is a regular occurrance, so making these adjustments is not a problem.
You can do it and we can help!
