'Calamity Day' Phone Notification Sign-ups

Winter can mean "Calamity Days." Plan ahead for notifications

If you would like to receive TELEPHONE/CELL PHONE/TEXT notifications during the 2017-18 school year when we close or delay school, you will need to opt-in for this service.

If you would like to receive a call and/or text when we delay or close schools this school year, please click on the link below -- “Calamity Day Sign-Up List”

Calamity Day Sign-Up List

Points of clarification…

There seems to be some confusion with regard to “call-outs” that come from the schools/district:

By using the link described above and located on our website, you are opting in to receive telephone/cell phone call and/or text notifications when we delay or close school.

You also have the option to sign-up for email and text notifications using the “Sign up for Notifications” section on our website. This option is located under the “Quick Links” section of the district’s home page at www.ketteringschools.org. (This option is for email and text notices, ONLY, not phone calls.)

If the schools/district do a “general information” call-out, the telephone numbers called are the main number in each student’s information field in PowerSchool.

If the district needs to do a “crisis” call-out, the telephone numbers called include all of the contact numbers listed in the student’s information field in PowerSchool.

Please contact Kari Basson in Community Relations at 499-1458 or at kari.basson@ketteringschools.org with any questions about phone call, email and text notifications.
