Julie Gilmore has been a Kettering resident for 56 years and has been a member of the Kettering Board of Education for the past 10 years.
A Fairmont High School graduate, Julie received her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Dayton and completed graduate work at Teachers College, Columbia University.
Julie served as a teacher in the Kettering City Schools for 32 years, teaching Social Studies to 9th- and 10th-grade students. She currently serves as a supervisor of Student Teachers in the area.
A dedicated community volunteer, Julie serves as a reading tutor at Moraine Meadows Elementary School, is a member of the Kettering Neighborhood Pride Committee, the Kettering Noon Optimists and the Kettering Sister City Committee.
Julie is a member of St. Albert the Great Church in Kettering.
