Frank Maus and his family have been Kettering residents since 1972. Frank and his wife, Genie, have three children -- each of whom graduated from Fairmont High School -- and six grandchildren.
Frank, who has been a member of the Kettering Board of Education since 2004, is a career educator and retired from the field of education in 1992.
He was a mathematics teacher for 15 years at Fairmont West High School and served as an assistant principal at West Carrollton High School for 15 years.
Frank is a graduate of Lemon-Monroe High School in Butler County. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Dayton in 1962 and completed his master's degree at UD in 1970.
Following graduation from UD in 1962, Frank entered the United States Army, where he served as a helicopter pilot, including a tour during the Vietnam War.
An active member of the community, Frank is a member of the Dorwood Optimists, the Miami Valley Military Affairs Association at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and the American Legion Kettering Post 598.
