HOLWEGER INC SYLLABUS

Holweger Inc. is a total paradigm shift from traditional education where students are EMPOWERED. Students have CHOICE in their learning; they are taught real-world ACCOUNTABILITY; and learning is COMPETENCY-BASED. The program is called “Holweger Inc.” and it is run as a professional training center.

Marketing Inc. Mission Statement

  • Validates master career skills
  • Develops a high-level work ethic

  • EMPOWERS students through
    • Choice
    • Accountability
    • Competency-based learning

Company Procedures

1.      Be at your assigned workstations and working on your preplanned, scheduled learning modules or projects. This is an office and you are expected to arrive on time and begin working. Your employer/director does not have to be present to tell you to begin working—you are responsible for beginning your learning.

2.      Before you begin working each day, check your workstation to make sure nothing is missing—books, equipment, supplies, etc. Report anything missing or damaged to the director (teacher). Prepare your workstation for a productive day of work—personal items stored and materials needed for work on desktop.

3.      Plan your time and check your calendar before you come to work each day. Be prepared for deadlines and have all materials ready that you will need.

4.      Unless there is a scheduled module presentation or staff meeting, each day you will be working on your individualized learning/application modules. Keep very accurate records of where you are in each module so if you leave that module, you can begin immediately where you left off.

5.      This is your office; take pride in how it looks at all times. Always leave an area cleaner than how you found it. Clean up your workstation at the end of class. Clean all papers and scraps off the floor and put them in garbage cans. Put all other materials back in their proper place. If working at the computer, push your chair completely under the desk. No food or drink allowed—except bottled water.

6.      As you work on your individualized modules, really concentrate and read carefully. If you do not understand a procedure, do that exercise more than once or ask the director for clarification.

7.      Time is of the essence in any office. Holweger Inc. is no exception! Emergencies do arise and allowance is made for that. When it is necessary for you to leave your work station, it is your responsibility to have a hall pass, properly completed with date, time, destination and your name before asking the director to sign it. Remember, no more than one pass per week is permitted.

8.      You may socialize with your peers the first 3 minutes and the last 3 minutes of the class period. Socialization is a key concept to being successful and happy at work. However, this privilege will be taken away if it is abused. Seats will also be reassigned if students are not productive. Please be respectful of all types of learners!

9.      Quizzes will be given when requested. You may not take the same quiz in the same day.

10. Music can only be listened too with earphones. You are not permitted to play games at any time on the internet. Computer access will be denied if you abuse the NO GAME PLAYING policy. You may do informational searches online.
