Welcome to my webpage.
I have been teaching Art with the Kettering Schools, for 22  years.  I taught Art many years at the elementary schools, J.E. Prass and J.F. Kennedy and for the last 11 at Farimont High School.
While most of my day is spent teaching, I also serve as the Art Chair at Fairmont, and the Art Coordinator for our district. It is a pleasure to work with  our excellent Art Department; and a privilege to work with our wonderful students and staff.
Currently I teach Art 1, Art 2, Art 3, IB Art and AP Drawing.
I graduated from Centerville High School, and my family is from the Dayton area. I did my undergraduate work and graduated with my B.A.E. from The Ohio State University. I received my Masters in Education  from The University of Dayton.
My husband and I live in Kettering and raised our three children, Angela, Kristine and Steven hers, e. All three graduated from Fairmont and went on to graduate from state universities.
I enjoy being involved in the Arts in our community. I served for 8 years on the Kettering Arts Council. I I also served for many years on the Friends of Dayton Ballet Board and held Executive offices. I am a member of Dayton Art Institute, Modern Museum of Art, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. I am also a member of the Ohio Art Education Association. I was chosen recently as the Outstanding Art Teacher for our Western Region. I am also a member of the National Art Education Association as well as the Dayton Society of Painters and Sculptures.
I study drawing and painting  for pleasure.  I love spending time with family,  and friends, traveling, walking, making art and visiting art  museums and spending quiet time by the ocean!
