Jepson Center for the Arts

Welcome!

This is my 1st year teaching at Southdale and 16th year teaching in Kettering.  Over the years I have taught a variety of grades and art classes  and I am very excited to return to the elementary level.  Currently, I teach all Southdale 1st - 5th grade students and two classes at Beavertown Wednesday morning.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from The University of Cincinnati in 1991.  Subbing from 1992-1996 gave me the opportunity to work in several buildings such as Southdale and Beavertown.  From 1996 - 2001 I taught art at Kettering Middle School in North Unit.  In 2001, I left teaching temporarily to earn my Master of Architecture from Miami University.  My love for teaching brought me back to Kettering and I taught at Fairmont for 11 years.

A resident of Kettering, I feel very fortunate to teach for Kettering City Schools and enjoy working with our Visual Arts Department to guide and encourage our students' creativity.
