I have been teaching at KMS since 1989.  I LOVE to teach math, but am certified to teach science, too (Earth Science is my favorite).  I am from Connecticut, but went to UD (bachelor's) and WSU (master's) and love living in Kettering;  I have three kids.  Connor is at UD, Kyle is at Miami U, and Erin, who hasn't decided about college yet.  We have three cats and a dog!  My husband is Tim.  I have decided that I love to travel after taking trips to Ireland (2010) and Holland (2011).  My next trip will be back to Holland and/or to Belgium.

KMS North Unit 8th grade Math (Blue)

I am available most days before school for extra help.  Come in any morning at 8:00AM.  A day's notice is nice, but not necessary on most mornings.  Afterschool hours will vary through the school year and are difficult for me to arrange.

All students are required to have a pencil, blue pen, looseleaf paper and a binder.  Notes should be used to help with homework and to review daily and to study for tests.  Students should have a scientific calculator with them daily, though it is certainly not used on a daily basis.

Students MUST write the problem and show all of their work.  All work must be done in pencil.  All incorrect work must be corrected (not just graded).  Corrections should be done in blue pen.  I can only answer your questions if you ask, so don't be shy!!!

Please check Power School regularly.  Students receive almost all of their work back.  Please ask them to see their homework to keep track of their progress even better.

Please email me at any time for any reason.  Email is the most convenient way to communicate since phone availability is so limited for most of us.  Any phone calls are welcome, though, but it may take longer to get and reply to messages left by phone.

I am looking forward to a really nice year!
