I am one of two sixth grade social studies teachers at Kettering Middle School.  I have been teaching in Kettering for twelve years. I taught Language Arts and English for most of those twelve years.  Prior to teaching, I was a stay at home mom for  twin boys.  I substitute taught a lot and decided I wanted to make a career out of teaching.  So, I went back to school and got a bachelor degree in education, closely followed by a master degree.
Before I had children, I was in the Air Force as a nurse and lived in many states - to name a few  - Arizona, Alaska, Georgia, and Florida. My husband is currently serving in the Ohio Air Guard. My hobbies include:  reading, weight lifting, gardening, and traveling.  My lifetime goals are to have my children graduate from college in four years and move to a small condo on the beach in Maui.
