Hello and welcome to Indian Riffle! I am so excited to be teaching third grade this year. I began my career here at Indian Riffle teaching the fourth grade. After one year, I moved to first grade where I stayed for 19 years. Last year, I looped with my first graders to second grade. The opportunity to teach third became available and I knew it was an experience I didn't want to miss. Third graders are awesome!
I have lived in Kettering my entire life, in fact I attended Indian Riffle the first year it became an elementary school! After graduating from Fairmont, I attended Bowling Green State University where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I received my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the Univeristy of Dayton. Most of my graduate hours beyond my Master's have all been in the area of teaching reading.
Currently, I reside in Kettering with my husband and we have three children. Jacob is a freshmen at Fairmont this year and plans to swim for the Firebirds. Ellie is in eigth grade and cheers sideline football for the Middle School Comp Squad. Noah has just started his educational career in Kindergarten at Prass and is currently playing rec soccor! In my free time when I can find some I enjoy relaxing in the sun reading a good book and taking our dog Violet on long walks!
