Hello and Welcome to room 307, Mrs. Kappel & Mrs. Hanchak's homeroom. That's right, two teachers!

Hi! My name is Mrs. Hanchak. In 2000 I began teaching fourth grade at Beavertown Elementary. I taught full time until 2006 and returned in 2008 to job-share with Mrs. Kappel. I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I graduated from the University of Dayton with my master’s degree in Educational Leadership. I like learning new things, so I am often involved in educational workshops.

I come from a family of educators and being a teacher has always been my dream. I enjoy working with children and I hope to pass on a love of learning to students. My mission is to help each child reach their full academic potential by providing a challenging and nurturing environment. I believe respect and responsibility are key components of a successful classroom.

When not at school, I am spending time with my family and enjoying the outdoors. I live in Centerville with my husband and two children.
