Intervention Specialist grades K-3
John F. Kennedy Elementary School
Hello!  I am Mrs. Kimberly D. Lyons, Intervention Specialist for the primary grades at John F. Kennedy Elementary School.  This is my first year at JFK.  Before coming to JFK I was at St. Charles Borromeo Elementary, here in Kettering, for 12 years.  I am excited about this new chapter in my career!

I graduated from Wayne High School in 1989, and went to Bluffton College where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.  I then decided to further my certification to include a Learning Disabilities credential; I finished this, through the University of Findlay, in 1997.  Since then, I have continued to learn more about various disabilities and ways in which I can serve students in the best ways possible.

I was born and raised in Huber Heights, and still live there with my family.  I have been happily married for 17 years to my high school sweetheart, Greg.  We have 4 kids altogether ages 21, 17, 16 and 13.  We also have 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a snake.  We are active with our church and with the Wayne High School Marching Band and Warriorettes, which we are both alumni of.  I also enjoy Zumba, dancing, and taking long walks through parks.

If you ever need to reach me, please contact me through the school office and  I will be glad to get back in touch with you as soon as possible.  Either that, or you can email me at kim.lyons@ketteringschools.org.
