6A Science/Social Studies

I am the 6A Science and Social Studies teacher at VB this 2015-2016 school year. I was a graduate of Kettering City Schools myself (although Kettering Middle School was my home back then), and I'm excited to be teaching in my Alma Mater district! GO FIREBIRDS!

I graduated from Ohio University in 2008 with my Bachelor's of Psychology and then I got my Master's of Education from Wright State University in 2011. After that, I was at Kettering Middle School as a long-term substitute, in-school study monitor, and Title I Math. I then came to Van Buren in 2014 and have fallen in love with the school and students, and I'm excited to have the chance to work with your child this school year!

Please use the links to the left of this to find our daily classroom activities that we do, the bellwork questions that the students must have in their Interactive Science Notebooks (ISNt) (SCIENCE ONLY), and the homework that I will update almost every day. Also, if you click on the "6A Science" or "6A Social Studies" link to the left, you will find a "Class Files/Link" section where I will post powerpoints, worksheets, and extras of things we do in class in case your child forgets their ISNt or folder at school or needs some information that they didn't get to write down.
