I teach during 6th and 7th periods, so I am only in the building during the afternoon.  I do check my email frequently throughout the day and will get back with you quickly!

I grew up in Kettering and attended Southdale, Van Buren, & Fairmont!   After graduation, I went to the University of Dayton and earned my B.S. in Biology with a minor in Pyscology.  After college I moved to South Carolina, where I got a job on Seabrook Island teaching environmental education classes to kids of all ages.  I fell in love with teaching science, so I went back to school and earned my MAT in Biology from The Citadel in Charleston, SC.  I taught a variety of science classes at both Bishop England High School (2 years) and Pinewood Preparatory School (8 years) in Charleston, including AP Biology, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science and 6th grade science.  I got married (to another science teacher) and when my first son was born I missed my family and Kettering too much, so we moved back!  This is now my 5th year teaching science at FHS and I just love it!  I currently teach IB Environmental Systems and Societies and Integrated Science.  I am also the CAS (Creativity, Action, Service) Coordinator for the IB Diploma Program.  Kettering has great schools filled with amazing people.  I am so proud to teach here and thrilled to have my youngest son in Kindergarten at Southdale.

I live in Kettering with my husband and two sons, Sawyer (5)and Reid (2)!
