Welcome to Ms. Singleton's English to Speakers of Other Languages class!

My name is Katie Singleton and I am the ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) teacher at Kettering Middle School and Van Buren Middle School.  I was born and raised in Kettering so it is great to be back home in this district!  I attended the University of Kentucky, where I received a B.A. in French and a B.A. in Spanish.  During that time, I had the wonderful opportunity of studying abroad in Paris, France.  After completing my undergraduate degree, I pursued my masters at the University of Cincinnati.  I graduated in 2015 with my M.Ed. in Literacy and Secondary Language Studies with a focus in TESOL.  I love working with the ESOL students because it combines my passion of language, culture, and learning all into one.

It's a great day to be a Firebird!
