Music gives soul to the universe,

wings to the mind,

flight to the imagination

and life to everything.

-Plato

My name is Mrs. Symes and I am beyond thrilled to begin my second year teaching in the Kettering School District!  I previously taught my first year in Tipp City Schools, but am honored to return to my ala mater school district and have the opportunity to make music with Kettering's students.  I teach General Music here at Beavertown Elementary, and also serve as one of the choir directors at Kettering Middle School.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Music Education through the University of Dayton in 2015.  I spend my free time with my husband, Bobby and our golden retriever, Samantha.  I look forward to meeting my students and having a great year filled with music and fun!smiley
