Board Approves Dave Miller as Head Football Coach

Congratulations to Dave Miller, the new head football coach of the Fairmont Firebirds. Miller was approved to take the helm as head coach by the Kettering Board of Education at its meeting Tuesday night.

Below is an article that was printed on the Covington Football Team's website and is being re-posted here with the team's permission.

This article gives wonderful insight into the qualities that impressed his interviewers and earned Miller the head coaching job here in Kettering. We thank the Covington Buccaneers for allowing us to share this article with the Kettering community and for being a class act, even as they witness the "End of an Era."

Students Spearhead Wi-Firebird Project

Fairmont High School students, Brenden Bodey, Alex Decker, Jake Dupler, Olivia Shirley and Alex Wunder in Robin Holweger's Marketing class are spearheading a Wi-Firebird movement across the community.

Businesses, area churches and the City of Kettering are jumping on board, displaying the WI-FIREBIRD static cling sticker and welcoming young people to their establishments. By displaying the WI-FIREBIRD static cling sticker in a front window, these locations are letting Kettering students know that they are welcome to patronize their businesses and access Wi-Fi at the same time. Check out the Wi-Firebird Community map, located in the left-hand column of our website, for names and locations of participating locations.
