2016 Spirit Shirts are Here!

The Kettering community has contributed tens of thousands of dollars to the Spirit Chain competition by purchasing Spirit Shirts. We couldn't beat Centerville in this friendly rivalry without your help...and we appreciate your support!

What is Spirit Chain?

Spirit Chain is a competition between Kettering and Centerville Schools to see who can raise the most money for charity prior to the Fairmont/Centerville football game on October 21.  Last year, with the support of the Kettering community, Fairmont raised $83,200! Please help us again for the 32nd YEAR OF SPIRIT CHAIN!!

How do I order Spirit Shirts?

Please download and fill out the order form.   Order forms can be turned in to the main office of any Kettering School. You will be notified when the shirts are ready for pick-up. You will pick your shirt(s) up at the school where you turned in your order form. (PLEASE NOTE ON THE ORDER FORM THE SCHOOL AT WHICH YOU WILL PICK UP YOUR SHIRTS.) We can accept checks (payable to Kettering Schools) or cash.  The order form and payment must be returned to the student’s school office by Wednesday, September 28!  Shirts will be delivered, in multiple rounds based on when order forms were turned in, by the Spirit Chain game on Oct 21.

District's Central Registration Process Now in Place

The Kettering City School District now has a Central Registration office, where all parents and guardians will come to register their children for school. The Central Registration Office is located in the Kettering Board of Education Building, located at 3750 Far Hills Avenue.

Parents/guardians are asked to make an appointment to register their child(ren) for school. “This will help to streamline the registration process and cut down on the wait time for our busy parents,” says Dan VonHandorf, director of Student Services for the district, adding, “Having our registration take place at a central location, instead of at each building, will also be a big time-saver for parents who have more than one child that they are registering.”
