District's Central Registration Process Now in Place

The Kettering City School District now has a Central Registration office, where all parents and guardians will come to register their children for school. The Central Registration Office is located in the Kettering Board of Education Building, located at 3750 Far Hills Avenue.

Parents/guardians are asked to make an appointment to register their child(ren) for school. “This will help to streamline the registration process and cut down on the wait time for our busy parents,” says Dan VonHandorf, director of Student Services for the district, adding, “Having our registration take place at a central location, instead of at each building, will also be a big time-saver for parents who have more than one child that they are registering.”

Donations Needed for Annual Community Garage Sale

The annual Spirit Chain Community Garage Sale is scheduled for August 5, so be sure to put that date on your calendar.

In the meantime, if you are doing any summer cleaning and have gently used items of any kind that you want to get rid of, or if you have any summer garage sale leftovers, we can use your donations!

Donations can be dropped off in the main gym at Fairmont High School (entry through the Athletic Center) on Thursday, August 4, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Members of Fairmont's United Student Body will be on-hand to assist with unloading items.

All funds raised from the Community Garage Sale will go toward Fairmont's Spirit Chain 2016. If you have any questions about the garage sale, please contact Corey Miller, Fairmont Student Activities Director, at 499-1652.
