2016 Spirit Shirts are Here!

2016 SPIRIT SHIRTS – HELP SPIRIT CHAIN!

The Kettering community has contributed tens of thousands of dollars to the Spirit Chain competition by purchasing Spirit Shirts. We couldn't beat Centerville in this friendly rivalry without your help...and we appreciate your support!

What is Spirit Chain?

Spirit Chain is a competition between Kettering and Centerville Schools to see who can raise the most money for charity prior to the Fairmont/Centerville football game on October 21.  Last year, with the support of the Kettering community, Fairmont raised $83,200! Please help us again for the 32nd YEAR OF SPIRIT CHAIN!!

How do I order Spirit Shirts?

Please download and fill out the order form.   Order forms can be turned in to the main office of any Kettering School. You will be notified when the shirts are ready for pick-up. You will pick your shirt(s) up at the school where you turned in your order form. We can accept checks (payable to Kettering Schools) or cash.  The order form and payment must be returned to the student’s school office by Wednesday, September 28!  Shirts will be delivered, in multiple rounds based on when order forms were turned in, by the Spirit Chain game on Oct 21.

Where will the money go this year? ...

District to Conduct Bus Evacuation Drills Over Next Two Weeks

The Kettering City Schools Transportation Department will be conducting state-mandated bus evacuation drills over the next two weeks. These required drills can result in delays of 10-15 minutes for school bus arrivals at bus stops in the afternoons.

The transportation staff will conduct the evacuation drills on school property, and building staff will be on-hand to assist with supervision of the evacuation drills.

Please contact the Community Relations Office at 499-1458 with any questions regarding the state-mandated bus evacuation drills.

Important Student Registration Information

Have you recently moved within the Kettering City School District Attendance Area?

If you have recently moved and are still living within the Kettering City School District attendance area, you are required to update your new address with the district's Central Enrollment Department.

Stop by Central Enrollment, located in the Board of Education Building, 3750 Far Hills Avenue between 7:45 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. and present proof of residency:
*  Deed or purchase agreement with closing date
*  Lease or rental agreement -- effective date noted and signed by landlord and tenant
*  Tax or mortgage statement

Once proof of residency is presented, your new address will be reflected in the district's student information system. Address information from the student's record in the student information system is used for all correspondence with parents/guardians, so it is very important that the district has your correct address.

Is your child currently enrolled in the Kettering City Schools?

If your child is currently enrolled in the Kettering City School District and will be a student in the Kettering Schools for the 2016-17 school year, you DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER your child again.
