Janet Johnson is a Fairmont High School Math teacher.  She has been teaching for 30 years.  Her current teaching assignment includes Algebra 2A, and Honors Algebra 2, and Algebra 2. 

Janet Johnson was born and raised in Wisconsin - go Packers! Her family still resides there.  Janet attended the University of Minnesota where she earned two degrees: 
BS in Secondary Education Math
BA in Music with piano as the emphasis

While attending the university, Janet met and married Tim Johnson, an aerospace engineer.  Together, they moved to Utah to begin their careers.  Janet taught in the Utah school system for 8 years.  She taught everything from applied math to AP Caclulus. During this time, Janet also earned a Masters of Education from Utah State University.

In 1999, a job transfer brought the Johnson's to Ohio.  Janet immediately took a position at Fairmont and has been there ever since.

Janet loves teaching and enjoys working with her students; but when the day is over, family is where she puts her focus.  Janet and Tim have two daughters: Alexandra, who is 19 and is a junior at Kent State, and McKenzie, who is 17 and is a senior at MHS.  The two girls are full of energy and are involved in many activities.
