Welcome to my website!

My name is Susan Werner and I am the ESOL teacher at Fairmont High School.  I have been teaching ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) since 1997.  My first job as a teacher was in Singapore at the Japanese International kindergarten.  After teaching there for three years I moved to Europe and taught in both Germany and France.  While overseas I learned to speak German and some Japanese.  In total I lived abroad as an expat for almost 15 years.  I have three boys, all of which were born overseas.

In 2003 I moved back to the United States and attended the University of Dayton to attain my Bachelor's in Education and Wright State University for my MA in TESOL.  I taught for three years at Wright State University and have been teaching at Sinclair Community College for the past four years; however, it is my job at Fairmont High School that has fulfilled each and everyone of my teaching dreams.  At Fairmont I work with the most amazing teachers and together we have the most amazing students from 29 different countries. We are also blessed to have Dolly Wehbeh, who is fluent in French and Arabic, to help me and our students understand and be successful in their mainstream classes.  I am truly blessed to have such a job, and our students are lucky to have such a supportive group of teachers.

If you have any questions in regards to me or the ESOL program at Fairmont, please send me an email at:  susan.werner@ketteringschools.org

Tschuss!

Ms. Werner
