Hi there!
As a Fairmont graduate myself, I am so excited to be back! In the years between my Firebird experiences, I earned my Bachelor's at Appalachian University in Environmental Biology/Ecology and a minor in Chemistry. After college I taught as an Outdoor Educator on the Chesapeake Bay, Minnesota and Clarksville, Ohio. I finally realized the urge to teach students for longer than a few days...and began the journey of earning my Masters Degree. I graduated with my Masters in Education, Life Science from Antioch University Midwest. My first teaching placement was at a locked, juvenile rehabilitation center here in Ohio...and am now thrilled to be walking the halls of Fairmont!
I look forward to continue being a member of the Firebird community and am committed to helping my students in any way possible. If you are a parent/guardian, please let me know if there is anything I can do to help your student be successful in Biology! Being a half-time teacher (Periods 5-7), I am available any day after school to help review or complete make-up work. Please call or e-mail me with any concerns you may have!
