Mrs. Molden is a graduate of Fairmont High School along with her two brothers and dad. She is also the mom of three Firebirds. Prior to teaching, she worked in biomedical and biotech research labs. Her projects included studying arthritis, Crohn's disease, and working on a drug to treat brain tumors.
In the classroom, Mrs. Molden is passionate about sharing her experiences working in the biotech industry, showing that being nerdy is cool, and helping students to learn by failing. She often reminds her classes that science doesn’t always work the way we want it to. Her favorite question to ask her students is “So, what do you think is the next step to take?”
Mrs. Molden also serves as a HOSA-Future Health Professionals co-advisor and as an Assistant Track & Field coach helping the discus and shot put throwers.
Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Molden stays busy by riding her bicycle, hiking, and gardening with her family.
