Life is a journey, not a destination!
I can not begin to tell you how much I have loved the journey I began in 1994 as an eighth grade teacher at Kettering Middle School. Over two thousand students have passed through my classroom doors since my journey first began and each and everyone of them have touched my heart in some way.
It is hard for me to believe that over two decades have passed by so quickly. My two daughters were teenagers when I first started teaching; they are now grown women. I am proud beyond belief of the strong, independent women they have become. My oldest daughter and her husband gave me two beautiful granddaughters that are the light of my life. My youngest daughter lives in Cleveland and truly enjoys everything Cleveland has to offer. Go Cavs! Cleveland Rocks! I love my family.
My husband and I spend a great deal of our time remodeling and updating our  "empty nest" when we aren't  completely and totally enjoying time with our granddaughters. Because my husband is a cabinet maker and into completion, sometimes, well actually a lot of the time, my granddaughters and I play while grandpa does all of the work. I am amazed at how much fun it is to be a grandparent.
My dad always told me, "If you do what you love, you will never work another day in your life." I will have to admit; my dad was right. I have loved the journey I began in 1994 at KMS. In all honesty, it hasn't felt like work. It has felt like a blessing.

Thank you for letting me have so much fun!
