Research supports the fact that children who attend a quality preschool program are entering kindergarten “ready to learn” and that students who are kindergarten-ready when they enter school are more likely to be reading “on grade-level” by the third grade and proficient in fourth-grade math by the time they reach that grade level.
There are a number of preschool options for our youngest learners in Kettering, including the Kettering City Schools Integrated Preschool Program, the Pathfinders Preschool Program and a number of quality private preschool programs.
The Kettering City School District has also teamed up with the cities of Kettering and Moraine and with Montgomery County to pilot the Preschool Promise program. Preschool Promise helps more young children in Kettering attend a high-quality preschool by offering scholarships and financial assistance to eligible families.
