With the support of the Kettering community, the Kettering City Schools will introduce a new All-Day Kindergarten Program, beginning with the 2019-2020 school year.
Construction and some renovations will take place at Orchard Park, Southdale, J.E. Prass, John F. Kennedy and Indian Riffle elementary schools this summer -- and in some case -- through the 2019-2020 school year to accommodate the all-day program. While this may cause some challenges at a few of our elementary buildings, the district feels that it is important that all incoming kindergartners have the opportunity to benefit from an all-day program beginning with this coming school year.
If you have questions about all-day kindergarten, please contact Debbie Mears, director of Early Childhood Education, at email@example.com. Please feel free to contact your child's building principal with any questions, as well. The principals will be in their buildings until June 19 and will return for the 2019-2020 school year on July 15.
We have also compiled information (below) that may be helpful to parents/guardians of incoming kindergartners.
