Safe Return to School Plan

The Kettering City School District's ultimate goal as we open our schools for the 2021-2022 school year, is to provide in-person, high-quality educational opportunities for all students, while implementing protocols to assure this is done in a safe, secure environment.

Learning Recovery & Extended Learning Plan

As a result of modified methods of learning during the 2020-2021 school year that have seen the majority of Ohio students engaged, at some point this school year,  in virtual and/or hybrid learning, the Ohio Department of Education has mandated that school districts develop Learning Recovery & Extended Learning Plans. The learning plans are designed to identify and serve students who have been most impacted by the pandemic in terms of their learning progress.

The Kettering City School District's Teaching & Learning Department, with input from building principals and teachers at all grade levels, has developed a detailed Learning Recovery & Extended Learning Plan that identifies student academic needs, as well as interventions and supports for students.
