Jennifer Kane brings 11 years of banking experience and a wealth of volunteer service to her position on the Kettering Board of Education.  She served as an Assistant Vice President / Risk Manager with Provident Bank in Cincinnati and a retail banking Senior Managing Officer with Bank One in Dayton. 

Kane currently serves as Vice Chair of Partners For Healthy Youth and serves on numerous committees within the Kettering City Schools.  Her past community volunteer experience has included service as President and Executive Board Member of the Junior League of Dayton, Chair of the March of Dimes Signature Chef’s Auction, Tri-Chair of the Citizens for Kettering City Schools Levy Committee (November 2013), President of the Southdale Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization, a Member of the City of Kettering’s Charter Review Committee, and an active volunteer with the Marching Firebird Band Booster organization.

Born and raised in Kettering, Kane was a student during the consolidation of Fairmont East and Fairmont West high schools and is a graduate of Kettering Fairmont High School.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wittenberg University and studied French business practices and culture at the Centre d’Etudes Francaises in Avignon, France.  Kane is a 2009 graduate of the Dayton Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Dayton. 

Kane and her husband, Dan, have three children who graduated from Kettering Fairmont High School in 2019.  While adjusting to a quieter household, she enjoys cooking, gardening, artistic/creative projects, and time spent with family and friends.
