Central Enrollment

Welcome Firebirds!

The first step to enroll is to complete an online application for your student (scroll down to see procedures for each grade).

After completing and submitting the online application, please USE THIS LINK to schedule an appointment with our Central Enrollment Team to complete the enrollment process.

Required documentation:

  • Birth certificate
  • Parent/guardian ID
  • Immunization records
  • Complete, time-stamped custody documents, if applicable
  • Proof of Kettering residency:
    • Homeowners: Mortgage Statement or Deed
    • Renters:  All pages of lease agreement, signed by tenant and landlord.
    • Both homeowners and renters need to provide a current utility bill.

25-26 Registration for Grades K-12

Children who will be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1 are eligible to register for Kindergarten.

Complete the required Online Registration and the Kindergarten Parent Input Form.

 

25-26 Preschool Registration

Registration for the 2025-2026 school year is now closed. 

 

2026-2027 Preschool Registration

Kettering City Schools is proud to offer high-quality, inclusive preschool programs for children of all abilities. We provide engaging and age appropriate learning environments in full and half day options. 

Pathfinders M-F 8:00-1:35 PM*

These full day programs are focused on preparing students for kindergarten. Priority is given to 4 year olds that will be transitioning to kindergarten with a focus on providing access to those who qualify for ECE grant funding per the Ohio Department of Education's income guidelines.

*Note: This is a change in the time for the 26-27 school year.

Integrated M-F AM 8:00-10:30 or PM 11:45-2:15

These programs are integrated, meaning 50% or fewer of the students are children with disabilities. Typically developing children are enrolled in these classrooms to ensure strong and appropriate peer modeling. Priority is given to 4 year olds with a focus on providing access to those who qualify for ECE grant funding per the Ohio Department of Education's income guidelines.

*Children with disabilities are enrolled according to their needs as determined by the Individualized Education Team.

Preschool eligibility requirements:

  • 3 years old by August 1 with priority given to 4 year olds
  • Potty trained
  • A resident of Kettering City School District

Children who turn 5 by August 19, 2026, are eligible and encouraged to register for Kindergarten. Because of grant criteria, we cannot provide preschool tuition assistance for children who are eligible for Kindergarten.

Registration for the 2026-2027 school year will begin on March 30th.  

The link to the application and appointment scheduler will be live for general enrollment on the district enrollment webpage on March 30th.
