ENROLL FOR NEXT SCHOOL YEAR - 26-27

The first step to enroll your
student in  Kindergarten-12th Grade in the Kettering City School District
is to complete the 26-27 Online Registration .

KINDERGARTEN PARENTS/GUARDIANS -- You will also need to complete the Kindergarten Parent Input form prior to scheduling your appointment with Central Enrollment.

After completing and submitting the online application and Kindergarten Parent Input Form (if applicable), please USE THIS LINK to schedule an appointment with our Central Enrollment Team to complete the enrollment process.

Please bring these required documents to your appointment for our office to make copies

• Birth certificate
• Parent/guardian ID
• Immunization records
• Complete, time-stamped custody documents, if applicable
• Proof of Kettering residency:
  • Homeowners: Mortgage Statement or Deed
  • Renters:  All pages of lease agreement, signed by tenant and landlord.
  • Both homeowners and renters need to provide a current utility bill.

To ensure your student(s) can begin school on the first day, please submit all required enrollment documents to our office by August 1st.

Preschool Eligibility Requirements for Typically Developing Preschool Students:

Your student must be:

• 3 years old by August 1, 2026
• toilet trained
• a resident of Kettering

STEPS TO ENROLL A TYPICALLY DEVELOPING PRESCHOOLER

Step One:  Complete the enrollment application using one of the options below:

• $20 Processing Fee (Cash Only)
• Income Verification (2025 Tax Documents/W2s/4 consecutive weeks of Pay stubs
  for all working adults in the household)

You must have your child's completed enrollment packet and ALL required documents at the time of your appointment.  Missing documents or incomplete forms will prevent us from processing your registration, and your appointment will need to be rescheduled.

Steps to Enroll a Preschool Student with a Developmental Concern or an Existing IEP

If you suspect your child has a delay/disability:

• Please use the link below to complete a Google Form to request a developmental screening:

You will be contacted within three school days to schedule a phone call to:

• discuss your concerns
• gather additional referral information
• explain the special education screening/evaluation process

After the call, the Special Education Department will email you enrollment details and next steps. 

If you are new to the school district and your child has an existing IEP:

The Special Education Coordinator will contact you within three school days to:

• discuss placement and preschool location options
• provide enrollment information
• discuss timelines and start dates

Kettering City Schools is proud to offer high-quality, inclusive preschool programs for children of all abilities. We provide engaging and age appropriate learning environments in full and half day options. 

Pathfinders M-F 8:00-1:35 PM*

These full day programs are focused on preparing students for kindergarten. Priority is given to 4 year olds that will be transitioning to kindergarten with a focus on providing access to those who qualify for ECE grant funding per the Ohio Department of Education's income guidelines.

*Note: This is a change in the time for the 26-27 school year.

Integrated M-F AM 8:00-10:30 or PM 11:45-2:15

These programs are integrated, meaning 50% or fewer of the students are children with disabilities. Typically developing children are enrolled in these classrooms to ensure strong and appropriate peer modeling. Priority is given to 4 year olds with a focus on providing access to those who qualify for ECE grant funding per the Ohio Department of Education's income guidelines.

*Children with disabilities are enrolled according to their needs as determined by the Individualized Education Team.

Children who turn 5 by August 19, 2026, are eligible and encouraged to register for Kindergarten. Because of grant criteria, we cannot provide preschool tuition assistance for children who are eligible for Kindergarten.
