Enrolling Your Student in the
Kettering City Schools


KINDERGARTEN-
12th GRADE 


The first step to enroll your
student in  Kindergarten-12th Grade in the Kettering City School District
is to complete an Online Application.

KINDERGARTEN PARENTS/GUARDIANS -- You will also need to complete the Kindergarten Parent Input form prior to scheduling your appointment with Central Enrollment.

After completing and submitting the online application and Kindergarten Parent Input Form (if applicable), please USE THIS LINK to schedule an appointment with our Central Enrollment Team to complete the enrollment process.

Required documentation when enrolling a child in the Kettering City Schools:

  • Birth certificate
  • Parent/guardian ID
  • Immunization records
  • Complete, time-stamped custody documents, if applicable
  • Proof of Kettering residency:
    • Homeowners: Mortgage Statement or Deed
    • Renters:  All pages of lease agreement, signed by tenant and landlord.
    • Both homeowners and renters need to provide a current utility bill.

To begin the registration process
for our preschooler, please
download and complete the 
Preschool Registration Packet.

Here is a checklist of documents you will be required to present at registration.

After completing your Preschool Registration Packet, please complete these additional forms:

Preschool Promise --Will your child be 4-years-old by October 1, 2025? Most families in Montgomery County are eligible to use Preschool Promise funds to help pay for preschool for 4-year-olds, regardless of family income. Use the QR code on this flyer to access the Preschool Promise website and additional information.

Financial Aid Eligibility Screening Tool -- This tool will assist families in determining financial aid eligibility through Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

Preschool Supplemental Aid Application -- Families can use this form to apply for supplemental financial aid for preschool services through Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

Immunization Exemption Form
Section 3313.671, Part (4): A pupil who presents a written statement of his parent or guardian in which the parent or guardian objects to the immunization for good cause, including religious convictions, is not required to be immunized.

 Section 3313.671, Part (5): A child whose physician certifies in writing that such immunization against any disease is medically contraindicated is not required to be immunized against that disease. This section does not limit or impair the right of board of education of city, exempted village, or local school district to make and enforce rules to secure immunization against poliomyelitis, rubeola, diptheria, pertussis and tetanus of the pupils under its jurisdiction.
