Enrolling Your Student in the
Kettering City Schools


KINDERGARTEN-
12th GRADE 

Now enrolling for the 2026-2027 school year! 

ENROLL FOR NEXT SCHOOL YEAR - 26-27

The first step to enroll your
student in  Kindergarten-12th Grade in the Kettering City School District
is to complete the 26-27 Online Registration .

KINDERGARTEN PARENTS/GUARDIANS -- You will also need to complete the Kindergarten Parent Input form prior to scheduling your appointment with Central Enrollment.

After completing and submitting the online application and Kindergarten Parent Input Form (if applicable), please USE THIS LINK to schedule an appointment with our Central Enrollment Team to complete the enrollment process.

Required documentation when enrolling a child in the Kettering City Schools:

  • Birth certificate
  • Parent/guardian ID
  • Immunization records
  • Complete, time-stamped custody documents, if applicable
  • Proof of Kettering residency:
    • Homeowners: Mortgage Statement or Deed
    • Renters:  All pages of lease agreement, signed by tenant and landlord.
    • Both homeowners and renters need to provide a current utility bill.

 

ENROLL FOR THE CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR - 25-26

The first step to enroll your
student in  Kindergarten-12th Grade in the Kettering City School District
is to complete the 25-26 Online Registration.

PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION FOR THE 26-27 SCHOOL YEAR BEGINS MARCH 30TH

 
To complete the enrollment application you will need to download the form after clicking on the application link. Please use the enrollment packet "how-to" to assist your completion of the application.
 

The link to schedule a registration appointment will be live on Monday, March 30th. 

The application must be completed prior to your registration appointment.

Kettering City Schools is proud to offer high-quality, inclusive preschool programs for children of all abilities. We provide engaging and age appropriate learning environments in full and half day options. 

Pathfinders M-F 8:00-1:35 PM*

These full day programs are focused on preparing students for kindergarten. Priority is given to 4 year olds that will be transitioning to kindergarten with a focus on providing access to those who qualify for ECE grant funding per the Ohio Department of Education's income guidelines.

*Note: This is a change in the time for the 26-27 school year.

Integrated M-F AM 8:00-10:30 or PM 11:45-2:15

These programs are integrated, meaning 50% or fewer of the students are children with disabilities. Typically developing children are enrolled in these classrooms to ensure strong and appropriate peer modeling. Priority is given to 4 year olds with a focus on providing access to those who qualify for ECE grant funding per the Ohio Department of Education's income guidelines.

*Children with disabilities are enrolled according to their needs as determined by the Individualized Education Team.

Preschool Eligibility Requirements

  • 3 years old by August 1 with priority given to 4 year olds
  • Potty trained
  • A resident of Kettering City School District

Children who turn 5 by August 19, 2026, are eligible and encouraged to register for Kindergarten. Because of grant criteria, we cannot provide preschool tuition assistance for children who are eligible for Kindergarten.
