The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) oversees capital projects undertaken by state agencies and state-supported institutions of higher education; manages Ohio's school facility programs which provide support for the construction and renovation of public K-12 schools; and administers the funding for community-based cultural and sports facilities projects.

Future-Ready Facilities Planning Process
The KCS Future-Ready Facilities Steering Committee held a community forum on March 20th, 2025 at Fairmont High School. This informational meeting provided community members with an overview of:
- The future-ready facilities needs of the district
- The impact of a partnership with OFCC to co-fund a major, district-wide facilities construction and renovation project
- DRAFT conceptual plans for the first phase of a KCS Facilities Improvement Project
- Opportunity to ask questions about the Future-Ready Facilities Planning Process

The Kettering City School District will hold Community Forums throughout the school year to give the school community the opportunity to learn more about the key components and rationale behind the district's Future-Ready Facilities Plan.
