KCS Families, Staff and Schools Community --

In late August, we held our first Educational Visioning Committee meeting, which serves as the “kick-off” to the first phase of the design process for the construction of a new Kettering Fairmont Middle School and a brand-new academic building for Fairmont High School. 

Educational Visioning brings together a cross-section of KCS staff, students, parents, and community members. Together, we are evaluating our current learning environments and defining how future spaces should evolve—prioritizing safe, flexible, inclusive, and adaptable designs for our students. 

During that first Educational Visioning Workshop in August, our committee discussed and identified district strengths, challenges and opportunities as we plan for the design phase of Segment One (constructing a brand-new middle school and brand-new high school academic building) of our Future-Ready Facilities Plan.

True to our commitment to the Kettering Community to keep you informed, involved and engaged with our Future-Ready Facilities Plan, we are asking for your input, via a Google Survey, on this Educational Visioning process. The link to the survey below gives our Kettering Community the opportunity to weigh in on the same questions the Educational Visioning Committee addressed as together, we consider how best to meet the needs of all KCS middle and high school Firebirds today and into the future.

We will keep the survey open for a two-week period to give all members of our school community — from staff, to students and families, to residents and business members – the opportunity to respond.
